The Top 5 most aniticipated products of 2010
Apple Tablet:
Apple always manages to be on top of a buzz list. Be it the iPhone, iPod or the Mac Book. This year it is not of the above mentioned products – it is probably something newer. The rumor mills are abuzz with reports of Apple preparing a tablet for launch in January. The assumptions are that it will be a 10-inch touch enabled device. Knowing Apple, it could be a game changer. We’ll just need to wait and see how Apple spoils the CES party this time.

Google Nexus One:

Gogle Nexus One
Google’s Android rose pretty fast during this year – gathering developer and user interest. Many devices with Google’s new platform were launched in 2009. December, though, got a bit more interesting when Google gave some employees their own version of the mobile phone on the Android platform. The news spread like wildfire over the internet with interface videos following the news. The new phone is expected to have a 3.7-inch OLED screen, 1 Ghz processor and an Android 2.1 operating system.
3D Televisions:

3d TV
With LCD margins shrinking the television vendors were looking for something more exciting to drive sales. The latest thing in the game is 3D at home. A lot of 3D televisions were showcased this year. We expect to see a lot more being introduced this year, especially during CES. Blu-ray also released its new specification that would enable 3D in their content. We should be able to see movies on this platform this year.
Chrome OS:

Google Chrome OS
The Chrome OS made a lot of news in 2009 and is expected to be available with netbooks in 2010. Touted as an instant on system, the operating system relies only on the internet for all applications. The whole interface of the operating system is the browser while helps people run applications from the internet and store their data on the cloud. Sounds a bit far fetched – not really. A few days back Olive had launched a set of netbooks in India with built in wireless broadband. Even with Windows XP the whole experience of internet connectivity is pretty straight forward with these products. Add to that a very light instant on operating system which allows you to do most of the productivity related stuff – seems like a good option. Hopefully the price of the notebook will not be a deterrent.
Motion Sensing Game Consoles:

Motion Sensing Console
Motion sensing is not new with game consoles – Nintendo Wii has had it for ever. The news is more from Microsoft and Sony. Both the gaming giants plan to bring motion sensing to the Xbox and Playstation respectively. Microsoft has codenamed its motion sensing technology Natal. This new technology will be available as an add on to current xbox systems and as a separate console too. Featuring cameras and microphones on a wii-style bar – the device will catch and interpret hand gestures to control video games. It will negate the use of controllers for the consoles. Excited? So are we.
Sony is also preparing to launch its own version of these consoles and they are expected to hit the racks in Spring.
